Mountain Leuser National Park is a nature reserve status as a national park on the border of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam North Sumatra. This national park takes its name from the towering leuser mountain with an altitude of 3404 meters above sea level in Nanggroe Aceh darusaalam. This national park covers the natural ecosystems of the coast to high mountains covered by dense forest typical of tropical rain forest. The first national park was officially designated as a national nature reserve under the decree minister in 1980. Famous tourism object in this national park is a reservation region orangutans mace hill. In Langkat northern Sumatra.
This national park also received attention due to rampant cases of illegal logging that violates the reservation environment. Mountain Leuser National Park is a panorama of nature and lungs of the world established by the Indonesian government as a national nature reserve since 1980 and established as a world heritage (biosphere reserve) by UNESCO in 2004.

Access
To reach the tourist sites, visitors can go through terrain route, heading north Sumatran Kutacane, aceh southeast (which is approximately 240 km) with a travel time of approximately eight hours of driving a car. Then from Kutacane to the major tourist sites or Ketambe gurah takes about 30 minutes driving a car with a distance of approximately 35 km trip. If visitors want to Leutser Mountain National Tawan region in Tapaktuan, the capital of South Aceh can also be reached from the field about 10 hours driving a car with a distance of approximately 260 km.
